Dedications

And last week, I've been working on dedication projects.. Bukan saja orang2 yang bercinta, tapi juga dedications dari London for her sister.. To start with, this is a Sailor themed cupcakes ordered by Wan Sue for her darling..

And then Eina called me up to order cuppies for her hubby. It was his birthday and their 5th anniversary.. Untung Eina, can be a SAHM (Stay at Home Mom) which is a dream for many mommies - to see their kids grow in front of their eyes.. You are one lucky lady!

and this one from my school mate yang sedang bertapa di London for her sister, Zarita.. one lucky sister! Thanks Zarin for the order.. BTW, Zarin, I told you earlier that I wanted to experiment on the orchids and magnolia.. Tak jadi la beb.. sbb tak stress test the gumpaste flowers lagi - if they can handle being in the refrigerator.. :-p

and gambar yang enter frame this time is Ahmad Muadh's khatam Quran Mix and Match set. His mommy, Kak Siti ordered this, but she didn't tell me it was for his Khatam Quran.. so I drew a transportation theme.. I know.. my bad.. To Ahmad Muadh and Kak Siti, Congrats!

Babies

Well, I rarely have time to update my blog these days.. With the new year, all cakes have to be ready before the kids come back from school. I intend to spend more time with them and less time with cakes.. (as if!).. Anyways, while waiting for Nurin to clear up her books, I decided to post something... and realised that they are still many pictures from this old PC that are yet to be uploaded... (sebenarnya terkenangkan gambar2 lain yang tersimpan dalam laptop yang dicuri... hmmm... gambar2 yang bagus nak ditambahkan ke dalam resume.. oh well... don't dwell).. So, I am choosing this pic to be uploaded in this blog this time.. Sesungguhnya tersangat lama... Ni birthday babies for Feb, March, April 2009!!! LOL!.. Anyways... hope to feast your eyes in some ways.. Nanti I cari gambar lain ya.. Oh ya! Happy New Year to all! Let's make this year a better one!.. xoxo..

Heida & Farid's 6th Anniversary

Sebenarnya Heida tergoda dengan design on my Hari Raya cake. She wanted a pink and purple design also for her 6th Anniversary cum 33rd birthday celebration. She also insisted to have a ketupat design on some of the cuppies. It was a last minute order, as it was a last minute decision to throw the party. Heida could not wait to see the set, and requested me to mms her or post on my fb.. boleh? somehow mms tak jalan - entah kenapa.. and I tak sempat nak post on fb sebab lari2 lepas tu pegi open house. I'm glad to receive positive feedback from Heida.. Thanks Heida for your faith and loyalty. Happy 6th Anniversary!

From Ukraine

An email received from Munawarah, who is now studying in Ukraine... She wanted to surprise her fiance with a birthday cake.. Initially wanted an automotive design using fondants... but I could only accept simple orders that weekend.. To Munawarah, thanks much!

Meerah wanted to celebrate her mom’s and Cherry’s birthday on New Year Eve. She claimed that Molly’s cupcakes were sexy! Phewit! Teruja I! So, I suggested to combine Zeti’s Anniversary cake and the sexy cuppies for her to celebrate the occasion…

BTW, I would like to wish everyone a Happy New Year, Salam Ma'al Hijrah... Have your Declaration of Excellence done yet? To summarise mine, it would be about Prioritisation, Perfection and Expectation.

Hari tu Mas (hubby) tanya what's my business plan for the year. I told him I don't have a plan. He said, 'Then, you are planning to fail!' Cis! After a few days of thinking... I told him... I still don't have a plan cos my plan is to perfect one swirl at a time, decorate one cupcake at a time, and enjoy one day at a time.. Take time to smell the roses or in my case.. cupcakes... :-)

More Mix & Match and Swirls

I am impressed with the ideas given by my customers... I pun tak terfikir nak buat cam tu.. The blue one is from Shikin to her brother.. and she requested the symbol pi.. and I told her that I no longer have my math books.. please refresh my memory wrt the symbol.. :-p (sungguh teruk!) and another one was designed by Bayani... Thanks dears!

Happy Birthday Baby Izz!

Zizi requested the mix and match cake to be exactly as Ayu's Bask1n R0bbin's mix and match.. though I have to apologise to Zizi as the purple color for the cake turned out to be too pale.. My fault! I pun dah tak ingat Ayu's cake exact colors. Then again, to achieve the exact tone colors is pretty difficult.. I failed many times.. Sat jadi macam ni, another time jadi macam lain. And the camera pun sama... some colors you see were actually purple in life, but they turn out to be blue when snapped.. So, I will now remember, the next time, I shall ask my customers, if they want the cake to be soft colors or bright... :-) and make disclaimers.. hahahaha.. Some ppl takut nak makan kalau bright.. but some ppl just love bright colors, ye dok.. Again, Zizi, thousand apologies.. *hugs*
